It started, as most good things do, with family. I grew up in Orange County and started taking pictures of my kids — just a parent trying to capture moments that were moving too fast. I had no formal training. No photography school. Just a camera, a lot of curiosity, and an obsession with getting it right.

Then a friend asked me to photograph their wedding. I said yes when I probably should have said no. It went well. Word spread. And suddenly I had a business.

"Ten years later, I've photographed high-end weddings in multiple states, built a reputation for reliability and quality, and learned everything I know by doing — not by sitting in a classroom."

Wedding photography taught me things you can't learn any other way. How to read a room. How to capture emotion without manufacturing it. How to perform under pressure when there are no second chances. How to manage logistics, timelines, and difficult personalities — all while delivering images that a family will look at for generations.

But weddings consume weekends. And with nine children and a family I'm deeply committed to, I made a deliberate decision to build something different. Corporate photography lets me bring the same level of craft and professionalism to clients who need it — while being home on Saturday mornings.

What surprised me about the corporate world was how much I genuinely love it. Every engagement gives me a window into how successful organizations operate — the culture, the strategy, the people driving results. I walk away from every corporate shoot having learned something. That's rare in any profession.

Anchor Point Visuals is a play on my last name — Saylor. But it also represents something I believe in: being the fixed point that clients can count on. In a world where vendors are unreliable, communication is poor, and deliverables are late — I want to be the opposite of all of that.

That's the business I'm building. I hope you'll be a part of it.

How I Work

Three Things That Drive
Every Project

01
Reliability Is Non-Negotiable

Ten years of wedding photography will do something to you — you learn that showing up prepared, on time, and ready to execute is the baseline for professional respect. I've never cancelled on a client. I've never missed a deadline. That track record doesn't happen by accident. It's a choice I make every single day.

02
Business-Minded Photography

I understand that the images I deliver are a business asset, not just art. Your website, your LinkedIn, your conference recap — these things represent your brand to the world. I work to your standards, your deadlines, and your brand requirements. Not mine. The images serve your business goals first.

03
People Are the Point

I got into photography because of people — my kids, my friends, the couples whose weddings I documented. Corporate work is no different. I genuinely enjoy the conversations on shoot days — hearing how executives built their companies, how teams operate, what drives success. It shows in the work. People photograph better when they feel at ease.

The Person Behind
the Camera

Because you're not just hiring a camera — you're trusting a person with your brand. Here's who that person is.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Husband & Father of Nine

Married with nine children — which means I understand logistics, chaos management, and getting the shot when you have exactly one chance. It also means I genuinely want my weekends back, which is exactly why corporate work makes sense.

Faithful Catholic

Faith is central to how I live and work. I play guitar and manage music at our parish — which means I understand service, community, and showing up consistently for something bigger than yourself. That ethos carries into everything I do professionally.

🎸
Parish Musician

Music and photography share more than people realize — both require reading the room, feeling the moment, and knowing when to act and when to wait. Playing guitar at Mass every week keeps me grounded and present in a way that shows up in my work.

🏋️
Avid Gym-Goer

The gym is where I clear my head and maintain the energy it takes to show up fully for clients. A full-day conference shoot is physically demanding — you're on your feet for 10 hours, moving constantly. Being fit isn't incidental to doing this job well.
